  • Safed Koh Block is located in Punjab. The block is in partnership with Dewan Petroleum & Rally Energy Safed Koh (RESK). OGIL has 10% working interest in Safed Koh, operated by Dewan Petroleum. This block comprises over three main structures Salsabil, Zindapir and Afiband having potential for commercial production of hydrocarbons.
  • Proven gas tested in Lower Goru Sands & Chilton Limestone formations at the Salsabil field.
  • Two Development wells drilled and confirmed the commercial reserves of hydrocarbons.
  • 60 MMSCF/D Gas processing plant has been commissioned to process producing gas.
  • Salsabil field also producing condensate at an average of 150bbls per day.
  • LPG recovery plant is expected to commenced production by the end of year 2009.
  • 1st gas sale to SNGPL started in June 2007.
  • Deepening of an old well in Afiband structure is in progress to explore hydrocarbon in Lower Goru, Sembar and Chilton formations.
  • Salsabil field is also producing gas from shallow horizons. Independent shallow well is drilled to produce these zones at its optimum potential.
  • 150 km additional seismic survey has been planned in all three structures of Safed Koh block to conduct exploration and development drilling.
  • 2009- 2010 Program:  Exploration wells in Afiband structure.
